There are lots of faces on this website that you will see over and over - a fact that I am incredibly proud of. I feel so happy to know that people choose to hire me to document their lives over time - there really is no greater compliment to my work.
Dr. Lane is someone who I call family and I can’t begin to express how much pride I feel about her accomplishments and I have so many amazing images of her through space and time to remind both of us of the ways in which she has flourished not only as an academic but as a human being.
These headshots were taken at the beautiful National Building Museum which is such an underutilized space in DC. If you haven’t been - let this be your sign to do so. I love this set of photos because they are fun and playful but can absolutely work in a professional environment. That is what headshots are supposed to do. They don’t need to be in front of a solid backdrop or be shiny and over=edited - they ultimately just need to showcase YOU.
